End of Day Wrap-Up

Close the day: what was resolved, what's still pending, decisions and priorities for tomorrow.

Optional: This exercise requires Slack MCP. If you don't have Slack MCP available, you can create a simplified version using only Google Calendar data and your own notes. Adjust the prompt below to remove Slack-specific sections.

Prerequisite

You need to have completed TC5 (Morning Briefing). The wrap-up cross-references the morning briefing to check what was resolved and what is still pending.

What will happen

You will create an automatic end-of-day wrap-up. It reviews the entire day: what was resolved from the morning briefing, new items that came up, decisions made in Slack and meetings, and sets priorities for tomorrow. It's the closing that ensures nothing gets lost between one day and the next.

Step 1 — Create the skill

Open a new conversation in ToqanClaw (click the +) and paste:

I want to create a skill called "my_eod_wrapup".

Use my_persona for my context, VIPs, channels,
and communication style.

This skill wraps up my day with a comprehensive review:

1. MORNING BRIEFING REVIEW
- Find today's morning briefing post
- For each item flagged as "action required":
  check if it was resolved (replies, new messages)
- Mark items as resolved or still pending

2. SLACK ACTIVITY TODAY
- Scan all activity in my important channels since morning
- Surface new DMs, mentions, and threads from VIPs
- Summarize key conversations and decisions

3. MEETINGS & RECORDINGS
- Check my calendar: which meetings happened today?
- Look for meeting notes, recordings, or follow-up messages
- Summarize key outcomes and action items from meetings

4. DECISIONS MADE TODAY
- Find decisions made in Slack threads I'm part of
- Highlight any changes to projects or priorities

5. PRIORITIES FOR TOMORROW
- Based on pending items + new items from today
- Check calendar for tomorrow's meetings
- Suggest 2-3 concrete priorities

OUTPUT FORMAT:
Post to my Slack DM:

End of Day Wrap-Up — {date}

RESOLVED TODAY
{items from morning briefing that were addressed}

PENDING
{items still open — flag VIPs and days pending}

DECISIONS OF THE DAY
{key decisions from Slack threads or meetings}

CHANNEL ACTIVITY
{important thread summaries from key channels}

MEETINGS
{meeting outcomes, action items, recordings}

PRIORITIES FOR TOMORROW
- {concrete action 1}
- {concrete action 2}
- {concrete action 3}

TOMORROW
{tomorrow's calendar preview}

Good night!

Save this as a skill.

Just like the morning briefing, the wrap-up will be posted to your Slack DM. It's the mirror of your day — where everything wraps up.

Step 2 — Test now

In the same conversation, ask:

Run my_eod_wrapup now.

You should receive a complete post with a summary of your day. Review:

  • Were the morning briefing items correctly marked as resolved or pending?
  • Are the day's decisions reflected?
  • Are the meetings and their outcomes correct?
  • Do the priorities for tomorrow make sense?

If something is wrong, adjust my_persona first — the wrap-up pulls from there.

Step 3 — Schedule to run at end of day

Schedule my_eod_wrapup to run automatically
every weekday at 6:00 PM (local time).
The post should be ready when I'm wrapping up
my day — no need to ask for it.

What is a Scheduled Session?

Scheduled Sessions are ToqanClaw's silent superpower. Any skill can be scheduled to run automatically — without you needing to open the app and ask. Start with the morning briefing, then add the end-of-day wrap-up, morning news, evening news, and more.

The complete cycle

🔄 The complete cycle

The morning briefing opens your day with everything that needs your attention. The end of day wrap-up closes the day by checking what was done, recording decisions, and setting priorities for tomorrow. Today's wrap-up feeds tomorrow's briefing. It's a continuous cycle where nothing gets lost between one day and the next.
