Build your first app
One prompt, one working app. No code, no setup.
Why this exercise?
You will create something functional with a single prompt. The difference? In ToqanClaw, it becomes an app with a shareable link — something you can show your team in 5 minutes.
Open a new conversation
Click the small + next to the "New chat" tab.
The prompt
Pick any of these — or write your own:
Build me a simple quiz app about general knowledge.
- One single HTML file, no setup steps.
- 10 multiple-choice questions, show score at the end.
- Clean design with a violet and white color scheme.
Once it works, use the deploying-with-claw-apps skill
to deploy it as a new app. I'll open it from the Apps tab.
Alternative ideas — use whatever is fun or useful to you:
- A tip calculator for restaurants
- A countdown timer for your next meeting
- A personal bookmark dashboard
- A simple task tracker
Try it
When ToqanClaw is done, go to the Apps tab in the sidebar. Your app is there. Click to open it.
Iterate
Don't like the colors? Want more questions? A different layout? Describe the change in the same chat. "Make it darker", "add a progress bar", "show the correct answer when I get it wrong." Small tweaks, one at a time.
What happened
You turned a chat into an app. The magic phrase is "deploy with Claw Apps" — ToqanClaw packages what you built into a real app, with a link, in the Apps tab. Every build exercise from now on uses the same trick.
Tip
If the first version isn't perfect, don't start over. Describe the change. Small tweaks, one at a time.
