From Schiphol Airport

~25 minutes

  • Taxi / UberFastest option. ~25 min, €35–45. Taxis available at Arrivals or use Uber/Bolt app. Tell the driver: INNSiDE Meliá Amsterdam South, Gustav Mahlerlaan 2.
  • MetroSchiphol → Amsterdam Zuid on Metro 52 (North/South line), ~15 min. The hotel is a 5-min walk from exit.
From Amsterdam Centraal

~20 minutes

  • Metro 52Take the North/South line from Centraal to Amsterdam Zuid (~15 min). 5-min walk to hotel.
  • Taxi / Uber~20 min, €20–30. Tell the driver: INNSiDE Meliá Amsterdam South, Gustav Mahlerlaan 2.
  • Tram 5 or 24From Centraal to Zuidas area. Confirm your stop using the GVB app.

Peak summer weather with highs of 23–26°C and lows around 14–16°C. Generally sunny with occasional afternoon clouds. Daylight stretches past 22:00 — pack sunscreen, light clothing, and a compact umbrella just in case of a summer shower.

Getting Around

Local Transport Tips

  • Download the GVB app for trams, buses & metro
  • Uber & Bolt work well across the city
  • Bikes are everywhere — rentals from MacBike, A-Bike, or Donkey Republic (app-based)
  • The Zuidas area (where your hotel is) is modern, walkable, and safe
Food & Evenings

A Few Amsterdam Favourites

  • Breda — inventive Dutch cuisine, beautiful setting
  • De Kas — greenhouse-to-table dining (book ahead)
  • Pllek — waterfront terrace, relaxed and buzzy
  • Foodhallen — indoor food market, great for a quick evening bite
  • Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum & Stedelijk Museum — all on Museumplein, worth a visit if you have a free evening
